#12 Toni Golston

Brimmer and May School

Junior Toni Golston proved to be a dynamic point guard during her first season at Brimmer and May School averaging 12.9 points per game. Offensively, her quickness allowed her to easily beat her defenders off the dribble. She also was successful when pulling up for a jumper or taking a set three-point shot. Defensively, her quickness and basketball sense allowed her to get many steals this season.

Lindsay Horbatuck

#11 Abby Scanlan

Chapel Hill Chauncy Hall

8ppg, 10rpg, 5spg

Abby is a 2021-2022 IGC all-league selection who averaged 8 points, 10 rebounds, and 5 steals a game. She is a gritty defender who we could always rely upon to force turnovers. Only a sophomore, Abby is poised for future success in the NEPSAC.

#3 Genesis Hayes

Christian Heritage

Genesis Hayes is a sophomore starter for our team and first time NEPSGBCA All-Star. She was the key to our team this year leading all scores for the season along with adding solid defense and rebounding. Genny is a smart player often being asked to play different positions depending on matchups and helps to bring the ball up when needed. She is a great teammate always looking out for her their best interests and is very coachable. Genny is an all-around great player, student and friend and she was a key part to our success this season.

Katie Levis

#32 Nia Suresh

Commonwealth School

I have had the pleasure of coaching Nia Suresh now for four years. This was her third year as Co-Captain, and it has been her best despite having limited practice time this season. Ms. Suresh initially shunned her role as leader, but eventually became an excellent Co-Captain, one who led by example. She has done a little bit of everything for our team, rebounding, scoring, and sometimes even bringing the ball up. Considering she started playing basketball 4 years ago with no prior experience, Nia has matured into a solid player, and she has made the most out of her opportunities.

Craig Walker

#1 Liza Minogue

Covenant Christian Academy

As a sophomore point guard Liza is responsible for making the CCA offense flow. She has excellent athletic instincts and makes all the routine plays with ease, delivering the initial pass on time and in the right place. She is very quick and leads the team in steals with over 2 per game. Liza is a player who can create her own offense, but understands the need to get all her teammates involved for our motion offense to succeed. She has a high basketball IQ and as the season unfolded started to become a coach on the floor.

#12 Abby Baird

Covenant Christian Academy

4.07 GPA

Abby Baird is a first time NEPSGBCA All-Star as well as the IGC Division 1 MVP for the 2021-22 season. She led CCA in scoring with 19.8 ppg and 8 rebounds per contest. She has excellent positional presence, knows how to create space inside and forces opponents to account for her every time down the court. Abby has improved her defensive footwork and has become a solid shot blocker around the basket. Opponents must account for her presence when they attack the rim. As the unquestioned leader of a young squad Abby has led by example and her efforts at creating a winning culture cannot be overstated.

#2 Mia Fantauzzi

Dublin School

Point Guard

Scored her 1,000th point in the first round of the NEPSAC Tournament this season, a feat accomplished in 3 seasons. Made 10 three's in a game, and 8 three's in two different games. Mia's greatest strength, skills aside, is her ability to impose her will and competitive nature on her teammates and those around her, while remaining patient with teammates of varying skill levels. The quintessential leader, Mia has been a Captain for the last 3 years. An accomplished soccer and lacrosse player, Mia will play basketball and soccer at Suffolk University in the fall.

Erika is the definition of ambidextrous, playing the last 7 games of the year with an injured shooting hand that no opponent was able to identify. Erika's high basketball IQ allowed her to play a wide range of roles effectively at both ends of the court. With a 3.75 unweighted GPA, Erika will be able to play college basketball at any level that seeks her skillset. Erika is an all-star in soccer and lacrosse as well.

#23 Nicole Clarke

Forman School

11 ppg, 5.5 rpg, 3.5 spg

Nicole is a strong athlete who is not afraid of contact. She attacked opposing defenses with tenacity and showed a knack for drawing fouls, as she averaged 7 free throw attempts per game. Nicole's quick hands, instincts, and anticipation make her a strong defender as well, both on the ball and as a secondary defender. New to the team this year, Nicole showed great leadership on and off the court, and she showed that she has the work ethic and determination needed to continue to improve as a player in the years ahead.
