#20 Ella Smith

Ella is a 2-time NEPSGBA All-Star and a Sophomore Captain for Berwick. She has led our team to an impressive run despite numerous team injuries. Ella averaged 22 points, 14 rebounds and 5 assists per game, securing a double-double in 15 of 17 games this season. During a 3 game stretch against league opponents mid-season Ella scored 100 points and was the catalyst for a mid-season win streak. Ella is also a lock-down defender often guarding the opposing team's top ball handler requiring her to play at a high level on both sides of the ball. Ella has received an EIL All-League selection as a Freshman and Sophomore and was recently named a Rising Star in Maine by Big Time Hoops Maine. Ella is a prolific 3-point shooter with 44 of them on the season. She is also a stellar student with a strong academic record and is highly respected by both faculty and students across campus.
